Future Movement Forum is proud to announce that Mr. Nader Nakib, president of Future Youth Association, will join us for an online discussion with the members of our forum on Thu. August the 11th, 2005.

To eliminate confusion, and to have an organized discussion with Mr. Nakib, we came out with a system that will ease the whole process:

Members can have the option of either posting questions under this thread from now until Thursday, or to join the chatroom on Thursday 9:00pm Beirut time. We will get all of your questions and address them to Mr. Nakib, who will answer the questions, while all the members will be able to see the questions being asked and answered by Mr. Nakib Live via a separate window, and they will not have the chance to talk to him directly. So, you will see the log of the questions being asked and answered.

Note that the questions should be mainly related to the Future Youth association, Tayyar Almustaqbal and the political and social Lebanese situation in general, keeping in mind that any off topic post and/or silly comments will be deleted from the thread and may cause the writer a ban.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

Feel free to address your questions starting from now, unless you would like to address it online to Mr. Nakib on Thursday, through any of the moderators at our chat room.

Mia first u cant run for FYA elections as per the internal rules you have to be a member for the past 4 years and you cant run for the elections its because only youth is allowed in it you should be under 25. after that you leave FYA to become FM member. Unless u are granted special priviliges by the president in this case Nader.

Nader has served a 4 year presedency and he was re elected 2 weeks ago for another 4 years presedency which will end up running in the 2009 elections on Sheikh Saad list.

FYA has all the FM youth in it and cover all the Lebanese Universities and now newly created a section for students in their final year in school.

I am sorry to despoint you Mia but running for elections in FYA is impossible per the rules taking into consideration that FYA is the only liscenced Association in FM.

This way you'll be able to ask and the guest will be able to see your question, the other way the guest will be lost with all the members question in the same time, we want it to be a moderated discussion that satisfy all.

Hi Nader,

Mohammad Tabbara posting from Melbourne, Australia. Here are my questions:

1. Are there any contact details for the Future Movement in Australia and what is its relationship to the Future Movement and FYA? There may or may not be an FYA in Australia but I would like to volunteer in helping out in whatever way I can to get the group started here in Melbourne.

2. On more general political terms, how does the FM stand on a progression to a secular political system? We all heard the the lyrics "mabadna ta2ifiye" initially but the election proved that may Lebanese are still stuck in the sectarian mindset (no fault of the FM).

3. Lastly, does the FYA conduct any activities with youth groups aligned with other political movements? e.g. LF or FPM youth groups.

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!

My question to Mr. Nader,

What are the steps that FYA took and maybe still is taking to communicate with other youth movements? How did these attempts get affected by the fierce elections? What are the points the FYA has in common with the other movements? What points need dialogue?

Thank you

Dear Mr. Nader.

I have several questions if you don't mind answering them:

1- What is the main function and tasks that the FYA is doing or is planning to do? is there any to do list?? and what is their main goal.
2- If I want to help and be an active member of the Tayyar al mustaqbal, how can I do that? I live in Beirut and would love to contribute positively towards the benefit of such Association.
3- Should the members of the FYA have an age limit so that it is called youth??? or any person whatever his age can participate? and what is the main difference between FYA and the Tayyar el mustaqbal?

Thank you for answering my question and for your time.

Best Regards

Samer Jaber

QUESTION:
1- Unfortunately the Future Youth Movement surfaced and gained momentum during and after the upseting and dramatic events of the PM Hariri assasination (GRHS), now a days the public appearance of the FY and its subsidiaries is seldom, apparently, deminishing part of the movement, thus, leading to disruption in the spreading of the movement (bad). Why?

2- Does the movement rely on the political performance of the PMs to act accordingly or it has an independent say?

Regards
RUSH

First of all Hi to Mr. Nader and to all the users in here.
I wish you as FYA the best of luck.

My question goes as follows:

As a Future Youth Movement (Containing no relegions, racist, or political words in the name) What exactly do you expect from Lebanese teen-agers and University students, who still care less for anything other than politics. Do you think this will lead us to a good future? I know our country is passing through very critical time, maybe it needs this kind of guys most by now. But what are your future plans for the future of this country and it's students to be able to start concentrating on their majors and try to jump this small gap they're looping into so that they will be able to push our country up high technologically and mentally.

Thank you

its a movement directed to the hariri reign, yet we wish for the different sides to identify itself as in the new movement that is directed more to the general and less to the specific. A movement that doesnt take the shape of a sect and but much more deals with the political issues that is problematic to the youth and for the better of the future generation?!

In your opinion what qualities should a youth have and what qualities should he/she develop to be
a successful politician?

What achievments you are most proud of in your presidency of FYA?

1- What kind of a ":youth " association is that when all what the "youth" do is sitting on the balcony and smoking ? Once I passed next to the association (which I belong to) I heard them singing al-laylou ya layla ... it's a shame
2- Most of the youth don't have a political background... can't we make political sessions, meetings with deputees minister... can't we have a meeting with sanyoura to improve our role in politics?
3- What's fm position toward civil marriage ? I remember r hariri having been against it as far as I know, and I need to know whether fm promotes for it (honestly if yes, I'll be the 1st one to quit the association)
4- What about making an official website for the movement with songs videos etc and make it more well-known
5- shouldn't we have more contacts with saad hariri ?

Compared to FPM and especially to PSP I can notice that fyers GENERALLY aren't good speakers.. I mean they might have wonderful ideas yet dunno how to formulate them... Can we organize more debates etc... to improve this quality ? Not to mention the benefits got from having open discussions with other parties.
And In case this was to be done, who designate those who'll participate in the debates ?
